It has been agreed upon that the purchase price shall remain confidential.<\/p>\n<p>Quant (testflight.quantservice.com) is a global market leader in the field of industrial maintenance, which was borne out of ABB\u2019s former Business Unit Full Service at the beginning of 2015. In the Manufacturing Services business (www.manufacturingservices.ch), Quant is the innovative manufacturer and contractor of precision parts, small series and assemblies. As a partner for complex manufacturing solutions in machining, sheet metal processing and heat treatment, Quant has enabled itself to develop new solutions owing to the flexibility of the systems combined with the creativity of its experts.<\/p>\n<p>Following completion of the transaction, the three divisions (Maintenance, Heat Treatment and Manufacturing Services) will be led as independent companies. The Maintenance business will remain part of the global Quant Group as Quant Service GmbH. The Heat Treatment business will be operated as before by the two entrepreneurs, Karl Spielberger and Fabrice Nava, under the name W\u00e4rmebehandlung Klingnau AG and the areas of sheet metal processing, mechanical manufacturing and assembly will be operated under Quant Switzerland GmbH. The operational management of the two units will continue to be handled by the existing management team. Quant Switzerland GmbH will change its name at a later date. All business relations will be carried forward and the transaction will have no influence on business partners or employees.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis divestment corresponds with our strategy of concentrating on the maintenance business and developing a global market leader in the field of industrial maintenance\u201c, explains Olof Sand, CEO of the Quant Group.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are very much looking forward to leading the Manufacturing Services business into its next development phase and to sustainably expanding our business. Heat treatment in Klingnau and contract manufacturing in Kleind\u00f6ttingen will become independent of each other and will be continued as two companies, nevertheless, still benefitting from shared synergies\u201c, explains Karl Spielberger.<\/p>\n<p>Both entrepreneurs Karl Spielberger and Fabrice Nava are private investors who jointly hold a number of Swiss SMEs, mostly in plant and mechanical engineering.
